Our first thought when we wake up in the morning is to make sure the house is tidy. This may sound obvious but it is one of those things that is so important to our health, happiness, and peace of mind. We are so busy and active that we forget to clean our homes. We don’t realize how important our beds are to us. A clean sheet is one of those things that will make our morning so much easier.
Of course, we don’t want to leave our houses clean. The thought of the last thing we’ll ever see once we wake up in the morning is enough to make us cringe. And for good reason. The last thing we want to do is have dust bunnies in our rooms or the pet hair from our vacuum cleaner. That just doesn’t feel good. We’re like ants in a house.
The problem is not just that we leave our homes dirty. The problem is that we leave our beds dirty. We leave our sheets dirty. We leave our mattresses dirty. We leave all our dirty laundry. We even leave our towels and blankets smelling. The last thing we want to do is leave our homes or beds or mattresses dirty, so we do the best to wash them when we leave. So in a way, the best way to clean our homes is to leave them clean.
We’ve all had a bad day. It might be the time of year, the day’s weather, or even a particular person. But cleaning can be a little messy. One thing that I’ve learned from my own cleaning disasters is that sometimes the cleanest thing to do is just to leave the house. I learned that from my own clean-up disasters.
If youve never had a bad day, or at least a week when youve had one, its time to change that. We’re so used to cleaning and cleaning and cleaning that it feels like youre just going through the motions, so we can easily take our time and do things a little better.
So in the end, the best way to clean up a room is to just leave it. If you are like me, you have a small apartment, so cleaning is something you dont have anywhere near as much control over as you would have in a larger space. And so instead of taking your time, and taking your time and taking your time, you just leave the room, and it will be just fine.
We hear this a lot, but it is not true. In the end, the only thing that really matters is what’s in your heart. It’s a simple philosophy that we all seem to share. But the world is a messy place, and not all things should be expected to be handled with the same meticulous efficiency. This is why it’s important to take care of your things. When you take care of things, you take care of yourself.
So when our friend, Matt, decided to take care of his mattress by fixing it and then donating it to charity, we felt bad for him. It was a gesture that he really didn’t need, and we were sure he wouldn’t do it again. But just last night, he did. He took it to his friend’s house and made a list of the things that he wanted to fix.
The good news is that he found what he needed and fixed the mattress. The bad news is that he was so busy that he didn’t think to add his own little note to keep his friends in the loop. We are very proud of him for not only picking up his mattress, but also for coming up with a nice little note so the mattress would stay in his friends house for a long time.
The good news is that he took it to his friends house and did what he said he would do. The bad news is that he didnt include a note saying, “Hey, what’s up with the mattress?” because he didn’t think to do so. So now the mattress is in his friends house for good. But the good news is that he has an awesome boyfriend who will be happy to have the mattress.
