My favorite part of the kit is the “Hang Me Up To Dry” primer. It’s a brush-friendly primer that you can actually use to build up the paint to the point where you can do your own drybrushing. You can also buy a drybrushing brush and a brush holder.
A good primer and a good brush can really make any painting project easier. I have found that my kids love it, and I’ve even been to college to help them with a few of their own projects.
A good tip for those of you who don’t have time to read the instructions: It’s best if you start with water based paints. Water based paints will dry quicker, drier, and they have much better coverage and color control. Also, you can make your own brush from a small plastic bottle.
I have only used water based paints so I can’t speak to the longevity of it. But they seem to work especially well with oil-based paints, and I recommend getting a good primer in case you forget to prime first.
In the end, you get the same result with water based paints. If you prefer a primer, its best to get it as early in the process as you can.
The only thing I would add on the list of things you can do to make your paints last longer is to get a good primer. This also applies to oil based paints.
Once you have your paints primed and ready to go, you can paint. You need at least one other coat of paint before you can apply your primer coat. Painting is one of those things that gives off a lot of heat, so it’s best to warm it up a bit before you start. You don’t want to heat it up too much, however, because that will make it take longer to dry.
The best way to heat up is by using a high-heat source like a hair dryer. If you have a regular hair dryer, you can just wrap it in paper towel and use that to heat the hair dryer. If you have a blow dryer, instead, you have to apply some heat to it to warm it up. The best way to warm it up is to put it in a microwave. This way, the heat will come from the microwave.
So, for this step, you are going to need a microwave. You will also need a small amount of water to make the glue work. For this step, you will need to bring some water to a boil. If you have a microwave, you can use the water to make the glue. If you have a hair dryer, you can just do a quick dry (i.e. just blow dry the hair).
