We recently moved into a new apartment. The first thing we had to do was get a new roommate. We decided to try to move into a new apartment with no furniture. Everything was already in the apartment. Moving from a place with lots of furniture to a place with no furniture is a lot different than people think. It’s a lot more personal. Most of the time, we’re not the types of people who need or want to move furniture around all the time. But, we need our own space, so we have to make some decisions. The first thing we need to decide is what to do with the furniture we own.
We’re choosing not to have the boxes and furniture we have in our apartment. Its a decision our friend and roommate, who owns a moving company (in a city with many moving companies) decided to make. The first thing she wanted to do was to move furniture from our current apartment into the new apartment. But, that would mean taking away our existing furniture and moving it into a storage unit. We opted to have our own space.
The move-in process is long and tough. Every single piece of furniture we own is very expensive, so we spent a lot of time picking out pieces that we would be comfortable keeping. We chose soft-soled flooring, a couch that is not going to fall apart, and a desk that won’t break. We also chose to keep our favorite framed pictures and wall art. We also chose to hire a professional organizer to help us with the move-in process.
Moving company alexandria la was a nightmare. We were told that there is a lot of work to be done, and that it would take us several weeks to get everything in our new space. This is a common problem for anyone who moves, but it’s especially difficult for those moving to a new city. In order for someone to feel comfortable in a new place, they have to be able to accept the changes. It’s like living with a roommate. If you move with someone over a long period of time, you have to be able to accept that you are now your own person.
Alexandria, VA is a new city, but not new to us. Our first apartment was in a very old building, which we were told had no air conditioning. We were forced to sleep in rooms that had no windows. We are currently living in a very new building and have no air conditioning, but that should change now. We are excited to be moving to a new city and are excited to have a place to call our own.
