A recent discovery made me want to paint my home a neutral color, but I still wanted it to match the rest of the room.
I know that one of the big reasons to paint your home is to match the rest of the room, but I think the main reason to paint your home is that you want to match the rest of the room. It’s a big, bold statement. If you want it to look like a rug, you have to actually stand up and say it. A neutral color doesn’t really do that.
The rug I chose for my kitchen was the most neutral look I could think of, but I was still happy with it. It was also very easy to apply the paint. I just used two coats, and it looked just as good as it felt.
I think it’s important to be honest in our conversations about what we want and don’t want in our rooms. So when I first saw the color, I thought it was a pretty neutral shade, but upon closer inspection I realized that it actually had a very strong color influence. The cream-colored part of the rug was all I could see, so I didn’t bother choosing a lighter version. Instead, I went with a more neutral color.
My first thought was “that’s really pretty.” A few minutes later I was wondering if it would be too much to get one more coat on the walls. But I ended up loving it. If I had to describe it in one word it would be “refreshing.” This color is so bright, and its really easy to apply. I’m also really happy with the results. It’s easy to clean too.
Marble is one of those colors that seems to change when you pick up a coat. If you pick a marble look rug in a lighter color than the one you initially chose, it will be a little harder to apply and look more professional. In this case though the marble version looked a lot lighter and not as bold.
My guess is that the rug is just a new version of the marble color and I’ve seen some different variations of the same.

Marble look rugs are the most expensive rugs you can buy. For a lot of the best of the best marble look rugs, they are about $10-12k. The ones we were shown are about $5-6k.
