This is one of my favorite home improvement ideas for the holidays. It’s simple, fun, and cheap and it’s made from just some cactus and some Christmas lights. I use it often for decoration around my home, and it’s great for adding some color to the yard.
Well, it’s not cheap but for the price and the decorating ability, this is a pretty good home decor idea.
I had a lot of trouble figuring out a good way to decorate my yard with Christmas lights. I tried a bunch of different ways. And I couldn’t find any other ideas that are better. So I ended up buying cheap fluorescent bulbs and putting two Christmas lights on each cactus. They just don’t look as good as the ones I got from some online store.
This is the kind of thing that only happens when you live in a big city with a large number of home decor stores and the people who run them. If you live in a tiny town, you can actually do this yourself. I once did this at a smaller town. We used a lot of cheap metal (some of which I salvaged from a dumpster), plus we had a couple of home decor stores that made sure we were getting our Christmas lights from them.
It’s nice to have a store that can actually make the cacti look better by finding a few cheap pieces that you can easily recycle. I don’t know about you, but I never think of my trees as cute when they’re covered with cheap plastic. I think of ’em as just plain ugly. Also, you need a lot of different sizes to achieve the same effect.
One thing that makes the cacti a bit more expensive is the fact that they grow slowly compared to trees, and they are often covered with lint.
The fact that the cactus is called a christmas cactus is a nice touch. I like Christmas because it’s a time when we give thanks, but my wife does not like it at all. Christmas is about spending too much money, and if I spend a lot on gifts, then she feels like I’m being wasteful. But my christmas will be about giving thanks, not spending a lot of money.
Well, you could argue that Christmas is about giving thanks for all the gifts we have received, and that it is a time to say “thank you” and show our appreciation for what we have. Christmas is also about giving children a “treat” in the form of a new toy, that is not a toy that we can actually play with, but a toy that we feel we need to show them.
With that said, I think it’s important to give children something that they will love. I remember when I was a kid, I had the great idea to give my dog a new toy so she would be happy and so I would feel good. It’s a good way to show your child how much you value them, and how much they mean to you.
