I am not a fan of attic fans because it seems to exhaust the air in the loft of my home. I do not like those that go from floor to ceiling and I don’t have a fan in my office so I am stuck with this. I think it must be because I have a lot of wood in the house that gets heated up and is then cooled down in the loft.
That may be it but when air moves through a room, there is a lot of friction. It may also be the fact that you are using an attic fan that is an older model that is not as efficient as new models. It is the old ones that are the most efficient and the newer ones tend to be more effective.
