I think that shelves are a great idea in a kitchen, because you can never be too careful. When you are in the basement you really never have to worry about your food getting wet (unless you do have a wet sink, but that’s not a given in a basement of course), so it’s much easier to store things there.

It would be a much cooler option if the shelves are actually built into the side of the basement floor, and not just the back of the wall in the back corner, which is the case now. The shelves would be built to a specific height and depth to hold a certain amount of items. If you decide to have the shelves built into the back of the wall, you would have to know where you want to put the shelves first.

I love all the new ideas in the new trailer, but there was one thing I didnt like. The ceiling. The ceilings in the new house just dont make sense to me. I dont know why they make the ceilings so high, and I can’t see why you cant have the shelves built into the wall. The only way I see this being good is if you build the shelves inside the wall and then build a shelf in the floor.
I don’t know why the ceilings are so high. I mean, they are. But that is not the only thing that is not good about the new house. The new house is only half finished, after all. The floors are not finished, and they wont be finished until the next year. I dont think it’s a good idea to put shelves into the basement, especially the ceiling. The ceiling looks like it is made of concrete and that is not very nice.
